threesadpandas is a static website published through GitHub Pages. This policy describes the site as it operates today.

What this site collects

The current site has no visitor accounts, comments, contact forms, payments, advertising, or email signup. It does not set its own cookies. The site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics for aggregate traffic and performance measurement and embeds public game replays from Lichess on some game pages, as described below.

GitHub Pages hosting

GitHub Pages hosts and delivers this site. GitHub says that when a GitHub Pages site is visited, the visitor’s IP address is logged and stored for security purposes whether or not the visitor is signed in. See GitHub’s Pages data-collection documentation and Privacy Statement. threesadpandas does not control GitHub’s independent service records.

Cloudflare Web Analytics

Every page loads Cloudflare’s Web Analytics beacon. It sends page-view and page-performance measurements to Cloudflare so threesadpandas can understand which pages are visited and how the site performs. The resulting reports can include page paths, referring sites, country, device type, browser, operating system, and Core Web Vitals.

Cloudflare says Web Analytics does not collect or use visitors’ personal data or track individuals across its customers’ sites. Cloudflare describes the service as cookie-free, and it currently does not log URL query strings. For this manually installed site, beacon data is sent to cloudflareinsights.com.

Cloudflare currently documents retaining unsampled beacon data for seven days and then aggregating it for longer-term storage, with the previous six months available in the dashboard. Lichess game embeds

Some Games pages contain a replay board loaded directly from lichess.org. When a page contains that frame, the visitor’s browser connects to Lichess to load it. Lichess may receive ordinary request information such as an IP address, browser information, the requested resource, and a referring page under its own privacy policy. threesadpandas does not receive Lichess account information or a visitor-level report from these embeds.

The surrounding article, move list, and analysis remain readable if the embed is blocked or unavailable. Readers can choose whether to follow links from this site to Lichess, Chess.com, book publishers, or other external websites; those sites apply their own privacy practices.

The Books section may use affiliate links in the future. Any financial relationship will be disclosed clearly near the relevant link. This policy will be updated before adding affiliate tracking or another visitor-data technology.
