White to Move… and Lose: My Hello to the Chess World begins with a position that looks like a puzzle and ends with Stockfish delivering the bad news: White has four legal moves, and every one of them loses by force.

It is not a grand theory of chess. It is one lost position, one stubborn search for a miracle, and one useful lesson: sometimes the puzzle is realizing that there is no save.

People read it. A few people liked it. The chess world kept turning. That is more than enough for a first post.

The goal here is simple: play, study what happened, and leave behind an honest record of the process. Yesterday that record got its first entry on Lichess.
